Western Colorado Grass-Finished Beef
Purchasing a half beef share is the most cost-effective method to buy beef. Our beef is entirely grass-finished and raised without the use of antibiotics, steroids, or hormones. Explore our practices to discover how we utilize grazing to rejuvenate the ecosystem, enhance soil quality, and promote the health of livestock and wildlife.
For a half cow, you will generally require 8 to 10 cubic feet of freezer space. This will accommodate the approximately 200 pounds of meat you will receive. A standard chest freezer or a larger upright freezer should offer sufficient space.
We require a minimum of 30 days for grass-finishing. The beef processing period lasts approximately two weeks, which includes 10 days for dry aging, followed by an additional week to complete the butchering.
You have the opportunity to select the cuts that your family will enjoy! We can help you complete your cut sheets. You can anticipate receiving at least 200 pounds of beef, which includes: 20-25% Steaks, 20-25% Roasts, 40-45% Ground Beef and/or Patties, and 10-15% Other: Stew Meat, Offal, Bones, Suet, etc.
We partner with Fitch Ranch Artisan Meat Company, a USDA-approved processing facility, to butcher our beef. All of your beef will arrive clearly labeled and vacuum sealed, ensuring a shelf life of up to 3 years.
The processing fee is $1.10 per pound based on the hanging weight. The final price may vary slightly depending on the ultimate weight and your selected cuts. The remaining balance will be determined based on your processing fees, along with a standard 25% markup to cover packaging, delivery, transportation, administration, and inspection costs. Final cost is typically anywhere from $5.75 to $7.50 per pound.
We offer complimentary delivery in the state of Colorado.

We love our beef! It's so relieving to have a great ranch of great people and animals. Love the ground beef with our spaghetti, and even the pet food and bones for our puppers. The steaks turn out soooo good too. I like to reserve the fat to make things like fire starters using pine cones and the fat. Definitely coming back.
Thank you for your business Carlos! The fat fire starters are a GREAT idea!
The beef is delicious.
It's great to have the opportunity to purchase beef raised in a way that helps to heal the land right here in Colorado.
I will be back for more!
Thank you for supporting the local ranching community and our efforts with regernative agriculture!
